Speak with your hands.
2018 A5 MMI®/Audi virtual cockpit
Control through intuition.
By studying how we use our hands, we simplified the MMI® interface so you can use motions and gestures that come naturally and instinctively.[1,2]
Operating the MMI interface comes easier, thanks to the shape and position of the yacht-style gear selector. Your wrist rests naturally on top while you tap, twist and swipe to communicate.[1,2]
MMI® touch with integrated touchpad
Available MMI touch features handwriting-recognition technology so you can simply “write” your entry instead of selecting individual numbers or letters as found in traditional systems. The two touch-keys allow you to select with the left key and see options with the right key, much like a mouse or keyboard.
8.3-inch center infotainment display
The available 8.3-inch center display is slim, yet generously sized for easy navigation of the vehicle’s infotainment system.
Transform reality with a touch of a button.
An information innovation, Audi virtual cockpit features up to three display modes so you can prioritize what you see and how you see it. Keeping the information directly in front also helps minimize distractions.[1,3]
The gauges in Classic mode are arranged in traditional fashion for ease and familiarity.[1,3]
Infotainment mode changes the focus to your information and your entertainment choices, displaying maps to help you find your way and keep your focus on the road.[1,3]
Audi S5 models feature a Sport mode that places a priority on performance with the tachometer and inset speedometer taking center stage.[1,3,4]
