2019 Audi Q5 Driver assistance

The intersection
of awareness and support.
Because you can’t see everything, we developed Audi pre sense®, a host of features that will alert you as well as assist you in a variety of situations. Using available cameras and available radar sensors, Audi pre sense helps act as your extra pair of eyes.[1]
An elevated presence
of mind.
The available Audi pre sense® helps monitor the areas around the vehicle with a sophisticated front-facing camera and rear-facing radar or ultrasonic sensors.[1]

Audi pre sense® basic

Standard on all Audi Q5 models, Audi pre sense basic can begin closing the side windows, and available panoramic sunroof, while tightening the front safety belts for a quicker response in the case of an unexpected event on the road.[1]

Audi pre sense® city

Standard Audi pre sense city can help detect vehicles and pedestrians in your forward path and can initiate emergency braking in an unforeseen event.[1]

Vehicle exit warning

Available Vehicle exit warning uses rear radar and ultrasonic sensors to monitor traffic behind the vehicle to help alert driver and front passenger to moving objects approaching from behind while the vehicle doors are opening.[1]
Rear cross traffic assist
Available Rear cross traffic assist helps detect traffic behind the vehicle while backing out of a parking space and can alert the driver to brake with a brake jolt if necessary.[1]

Audi side assist

Available Audi side assist uses radar sensors and two different optical warnings to help keep the driver informed about what is approaching from hard-to-see angles behind and to the side of the vehicle.[1]

Park steering assist

Using ultrasonic sensors to help provide steering input, this available advanced parking technology can assist you into parallel and perpendicular parking spots with your braking input. You maintain control of shifting gears, and the system can help you drive out of your spot as well.
Available parking system plus with top
view camera system[1]
Available parking system plus features front and rear acoustic parking sensors and an available top view camera system for a bird’s-eye view displayed on the MMI®.
Adaptive cruise control with Traffic jam assist
Maintain a set following distance during changing traffic speeds. In low-speed traffic, this available system can provide guided acceleration, braking and steering to help support you in stop-and-go traffic situations.[1]
Audi active lane assist
The available Audi active lane assist helps detect when the vehicle begins to leave the lane without signaling. Then, through gentle, corrective steering efforts, it helps the vehicle remain in the lane and vibrates the steering wheel as an additional warning.[1]
High-beam assistant
Detecting light from oncoming vehicles or well-lit areas, the available high-beam assistant can automatically switch from the high-beam to the low-beam setting to help avoid distracting oncoming traffic.[1]
Traffic sign recognition
Available traffic sign recognition uses a camera-based system to help detect common road signs such as speed limits and school zones and can display the information on the available Audi virtual cockpit and head-up display.[1]
