2019 Audi Q5 Safety
With 6 standard airbags including Sideguard® head-curtain airbags for both rows of seats and available rear passenger outboard thorax side airbags, the Audi Q5 helps protect you in many ways.
Every Audi Q5 comes standard with a host of safety features.
To help protect you and your passengers in the event of an emergency, our chassis engineers designed the Audi Q5 to absorb the energy of impact and remain rigid where it’s most needed.
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) with Offroad mode
Electronic Stability Control (ESC) is both a safety and a performance-enhancing feature. Communicating with the quattro® all-wheel drive system, ESC can detect a loss of traction and can apply braking input to help prevent excessive body motion or slip, and it can adjust to offroad driving conditions. ESC also helps you maintain your intended line through a corner with intelligent torque vectoring, and it allows for spirited driving before assisting.
All Audi Q5 models come standard with a sophisticated anti-lock braking system (ABS) that helps prevent wheel lock-up so you can brake and steer to avoid an incident. As a safety feature, ABS can help prevent accidents. The ABS system in the Audi Q5 is integrated with the vehicle’s other driver assistance systems, and works together to help enhance safety.
